Juvenile Crossbill on moss

Crossbills are not a rare species for the Netherlands but they are not frequent visitors of photo blind locations. During a dry period, like now in the summer of 2022, they may come for drinking but their visit is always brief and the photographer has to be quick with the camera to get a good shot.
