Ugly, wet and green.

Green woodpeckers are one of my favorite bird species; they are loud, shy and have interesting behavior. I like my shots to be different and not add a common shot to an already large collection of woodpecker shots on the web and social media. This green woodpecker scratches after a bath which is part of the daily routine.
